Pukar C. Hamal made history as the first Nepali-American featured on the front page of Forbes.com for his work as founder and CEO of SecurityPal AI. A serial entrepreneur based in San Francisco, Pukar built SecurityPal into a cybersecurity assurance company valued at $105 million, with offices in San Francisco, New York City, and Kathmandu. SecurityPal combines AI with expert human judgment and is trusted by companies including OpenAI, Figma, and Snap.

Born in Kathmandu with roots in Darchula in far-western Nepal, Pukar immigrated to New York City with his family at age seven. English was his fourth language. While still in high school, he conducted biochemistry research at Columbia University. He later earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and began his career on Sand Hill Road, where startups, entrepreneurship, and venture capital became his calling.

Pukar bootstrapped SecurityPal from the corner of his apartment during the pandemic to $1 million in annual recurring revenue before raising outside capital. A $21 million Series A led by Craft Ventures valued the company at $105 million. His work has also been covered by TechCrunch and Business Insider.

Pukar later coined the term "Silicon Peaks" and acquired SiliconPeaks.com to spotlight Nepal's extraordinary technology sector and connect innovation across Silicon Valley and South Asia.
